Backyard wedding by Shannen Norman
Shannen photographed Megan and Tony’s wedding last fall in New Haven, CT, home of Yale, where they’re both finishing their masters in poetry. I must say, these are my favorite kinds of weddings. It looks like such a relaxed afternoon of wondering around the city, taking portraits, a simple church ceremony and an evening full of great conversation and laughter illuminated by candles and bistro lights. We’re so happy for them both.

Destination Joshua Tree
Ever been to 29 Palms in Joshua Tree? If not you really need to check it out. It’s super laid back, rustic, and pretty much everything you’d want out of a low-key desert get away. Well these two knew what they were doing when they traveled to the desert for their wedding and I must say, I’m a bit jealous. Why didn’t I think of that? Photos by the one and only, Brookelyn Photography. Enjoy!

Ariel Dearie collaboration with Katy Smail
A gorgeous collaboration with illustrator Katy Smail and Ariel Dearie. My eyes and heart say yes to this on so many levels. Don’t even know where to begin.

We’re up on Etsy today!
The AMAZING Ginny Branch has recently started writing a column for Etsy called “Get the Look” where she features a real wedding and gives you tips on where you can purchase items for your wedding that match the inspiration. Emily and Paul’s wedding, shot by Josh Goleman, is one of the first to go up. Needless to say we are sooooo excited about this! Thank you Ginny Branch and thank you Emily and Paul!
