A foodie’s dream wedding come true.

This has to be one of my favorite weddings from 2012. And why, do you ask?  Well… other than the fact that Peter and Robert were able to celebrate their 20+ year relationship by getting married (as if that’s not enough!), they hired the crazy talented caterers Fire Roasted Catering (look them up, you’re going to want these guys in your rolodex if they aren’t already).  What a perfect vision for a fall wedding… autumnal air, leaves falling,  pumpkin soup, and a rib roast on an open fire (not to mention the fig, cured meats and cheese plate, house made pâté and roast beef crostini…can you tell I’m obsessed?).  The wedding took place on a private estate in Connecticut and the whole affair was designed by the lovely Kristie Bishop of The KB Event.  They ate, they drank, they laughed and they danced well into the night to jazz. I wish they’d do it all over again and have me as a guest!  Peter & Robert- THANK YOU for letting us be a part of your day. Best wishes!! xo

Pamela Love’s Montauk wedding by Gary Ashley

When Gary was invited to photograph Pamela Love’s wedding we were like, “um yes?!”  Knowing she had out of control style and even with a mutual friend or two we knew it would be a fun one. Pamela and Matthew got married at Ruschmeyer’s in Montauk, one of my favorite hotels of all time.  Thanks to 100LayerCake for featuring this on their blog and best wishes to Pamela and Matthew!

Gianna and Gilly’s wedding on 100LayerCake!

Earlier in the summer Gary Ashley was invited to shoot this doll of a wedding at the Horticultural Center in Philadelphia.  Gianna, being a designer for Free People, had a pool of insanely talented friends (see Kris Chau ) to help her create some of the craftiest, sweetest and beautiful elements ever. Thank you Gianna and Gilly for having us be a part of your day.  As always it’s an honor to be brought in to capture a couple’s most intimate, happy and love-filled day of their lives.  THANK YOU.  And thank you 100LC for such a beautiful blog post!

Iloire & Gregory’s Upstate NY Wedding

Where to even begin with these two? I guess I should start by explaining I was privileged to assist my dear husband, Gary Ashley, on this one.  The term “laid back bride” doesn’t even begin to describe how insanely happy and chilled out Iloire was on her big day.  You can see it on her face in each and every one of these photos-she’s hands down the happiest bride EVER.  And she had every right to be… it was a beautiful day in a beautiful location (seriously, the Stone Tavern Farm is gorgeous) and the love in the air from their friends and family was palpable.  It was an all around amazing day that included home-brewed beer, homemade details (her grandmother crocheted the bouquets, boutonnieres and even napkin rings!) a photo booth and even ended with a late night bonfire. What more could you ask?  Congrats and best wishes to you both and thanks again for having Gary and I there to be a part of it! XO

Matt + Molly get hitched

This past summer Matt & Molly got married at the lovely Sundara in Roanoke, Virginia and Gary Ashley was there to capture it all.  To kick the weekend off they hosted a Friday night shindig complete with hay bales, S’mores roasted over an open fire and square dancing.   Things were taken up a few notches Saturday evening with adorable decorations, a stunning bride and groom and dapper guests dressed to impress (including the little ones, check out that kid’s boots and pants!).  Congratulations to you both and thanks for letting us be a part of your big day!
