Adam & Dave’s wedding featured on 100LayerCake!

My friend Adam (of Adam & Co) was married last fall at the Crane Estate in MA.  My other friend and photographer of the Wedding Collective,  Josh Goleman was there to photograph it.  Two insanely talented people created and captured one insanely beautiful wedding which was featured on 100LayerCake this week.  This is just a SMALL handful of images from the day.  To see the complete wedding you can see it here. A Southampton Wedding by Shannen Norman

I love the way Shannen described this wedding as “incredibly classy but far from stuffy”. It truly does look like a relaxed but beautifully and thoughtfully designed wedding thrown by two beautiful and relaxed people.  Thanks to Jeremy and Alexandra for letting us be a part of their big day! 

Brooke featured in NY Magazine Weddings Issue!

For you brides to be out there, maybe you’ve already come across the NY Magazine Weddings issue?  If so, there may have a been a familiar name in there?  Yep, our lady Brooke Fitts (from Brookelyn Photography) received some well deserved accolades this year.  She was featured in their “Ask the Experts” section.  Not bad, eh?  High five Brooke!

Emily + Paul’s countryside wedding by Josh Goleman

It makes me so incredibly happy to share this special gem of a wedding with you.  Photographed by their good friend Josh Goleman, Emily and Paul got married in the sweetest way possible- with their friends and family, surrounded by the beauty of Wisconsin, in a truly homespun style.  The floral arrangements, the hair, even the bride’s wedding ring- everything was made with care and love by her best ladies.  I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Emily and Paul a little bit as well as their wonderful friends.  I can tell you first hand, they’re the real deal and they are as sweet and rad as they look. Matt + Molly get hitched

This past summer Matt & Molly got married at the lovely Sundara in Roanoke, Virginia and Gary Ashley was there to capture it all.  To kick the weekend off they hosted a Friday night shindig complete with hay bales, S’mores roasted over an open fire and square dancing.   Things were taken up a few notches Saturday evening with adorable decorations, a stunning bride and groom and dapper guests dressed to impress (including the little ones, check out that kid’s boots and pants!).  Congratulations to you both and thanks for letting us be a part of your big day!

Gary Ashley (photographer of the Collective) and I, yours truly, got married this past June in upstate NY and our dear friend Josh Goleman was there to capture it all.  We had a low key, homespun wedding with just over 40 of our closest family and friends and let me tell you- it was pure magic to feel so much love coming our way.  Everyone stayed with us or in near by houses the week leading up to the wedding and pitched in making the decorations, hanging lights, building the alter, making flower arrangements, etc.  It was a week chock full of memories and we can’t thank Josh enough for capturing it all so beautifully. Oh, and one last thing- our wedding was just posted on 100LayerCake!  Check it out here.

Bonny and Richard got married at the Metropolitan Building in Long Island City earlier this summer.  They were so sweet to work with, we loved every second of it.  With their moms in traditional Korean dress they blended the old with the new in perfect harmony.  They even had an ice cream truck come and make a special delivery.  Nice!  Congratulations to you both and well done Gary!

This is why I love NY.  Only here do people get married in a gorgeous old Catholic Church, only to hop in a cab over to their reception at a funky old book store in SoHo.  And can we give a shout out to that wedding party?  My goodness they look stunning.  Shannen Norman shot this little gem last year but in my mind there’s no expiration on showing great work.  Enjoy.
